Abstract

India has been invaded by different countries and communities throughout history; it has been Turks who have had the greatest impact on here. The Turkish power in India became widespread Kuşan, Turişka, Sebük Tigin and his span of command who captured North west India and the Indian excursions of Gazneli Mahmud, Gurlu, the first Sultanate and Babur Empire. The Turks in that region selected Persian as the official language while they were speaking Turkish in the palace and among themeselves. The Turkish rulers had special interest in Persian and many fields of art and the artists in Iran weren’t supported or appreciated much enough so India was became centre of attraction. Immigration of the artists to India as a result of the invitation increased the Persian works. Especially the mystic contented subjects and islamic ideas and historiograpy became prominent in Indian subcontinent. Historiography in India started to appear in 13th century after historical events started to be written in Persian more and the Turks came to India. Historiography developed in time after the Muslims wrote many historical Works. Works in historiography were made in Persian and Arabic. Thus historical resources in Persian improved Persian in those regions and more widespread. We have given information about important works and authors for India and Turkish history in our study. We have aimed to give information about bibiliographical works of Persian works in the field of Medieval Indian history in this study.
