Abstract

The main purpose of this research is to determine relation between some basic field courses in fine arts high schools of “Fine Arts High School” graduate students performing an important function in formation of fundamentals of professional music education and their parallel gains in Music Education Degree Program Special Skills Examination. Study group of the research dealt with 'Relational Research Model' is formed of 44 teacher candidates. Relation between “High School MHRW” and “High School Instrument” courses studied by Fine arts high school students in schools and special skills exam raw scores (SERS) they took for undergraduate programs and Placement Scores (PS) is at low level. Relation between “High School MHRW” and “High School Instrument” courses studied by Fine arts high school students in schools and “Skills Test MHRW” and “Skills Test Instrument” in special skills exam they took for degree program is at low and intermediate levels. When detected this low level relation is analyzed with regards to gender in study group it is determined that female students are more successful than male students in all factors.
