Fahri Bilge, who contributed a lot to Turkish culture with his studies in areas such as Folklore, Folk Litereture and Classical Turkish Literature gave Mehmed Sıdkı a notebook as a gift and wanted him to write poems. Although the poet first stated that he didn’t have the ability to reply Fahri Bilge’s demand, he wrote 22 poems on various themes under the name “Sıdkı” The poet generally used a title for his poems and dedicated some of them to important people. One of these poems is also saved in Mesnevi-i Şerif Şerhi by Ahmed Avni Konuk. In this work before the poem the statement “a poet who named Mehmed Sıdkı, works as a teacher of Turkish at a Military School…” which is used for the poet, shows that there is a lack of information about the poet.
