Teaching learning by establishing a positive classroom environment in the classroom management can be defined as theprocess of ensuring active participation of students. Teachers who do not have effective classroom management skills will not be able to create an effective learning environment in their classroom. In short, teacher is the lead actor in creating a positive learning environment. Classroom management is a multi-dimensional construct including classroom communication, student motivation, classroom physical environment, unwanted student behaviors, and time management. Taking all these dimensions into consideration in the teaching learning process is of great importance in terms of accomplishing objectives. The aim of the research is to determine the opinions of prospective science teachers regarding effective classroom management. Qualitative research method was used in the research. Semi-structured interview form was used as data collection tool. According to the findings of this research, it was determined that classroom communication should not be official, that students should establish rules together with the teacher to feel motivated, and that the students can get more motivated when they like the teacher and the course. It has been found out that the science teacher candidates should use a U-shaped classroom as the seating arrangement, prevent the unwanted behavior by establishing eye contact, and adjust the time management according to the level of the students.
