The study was employed in quasi-experimental model with pre-test – post-test control group. In this research, for the independent samples t-test and the repeated measures ANOVA test were used. For the analysis of the data SPSS program was employed. As a result of the survey, reading comprehension total success grade of experimental group students who were instructed pre-reading strategy was statistically higher than the grades’ of control group students who continued their lesson schedule. This result indicated that the application was effective.
