This fact are caused to some questions to remain unanswered, such as, what sorts of the laringeal position strategies can be used in development process of a methodology, applicable in the voice training practices in singing and vocal performance styles that use a voice quality containing speaker's/actor's formant. In this study, the role of glottal variables on the production of speaker's/actor's formant, in its relation to the vertical position of larynx was scrutinized. At a theoretical level it was evaluated, that because it's negative effect on the energy level of high (3-4 kHz) region of spectrum through causing increased vocal folds adduction, thinned vocal folds, and decreased CQ value, the lowered larynx like as used by opera singers, at the glottal level has a negative role on the production of speaker's/actor's formant. From this point of the fact, it was concluded that the lowered larynx must not be used in the voice training processes of singing and vocal styles that has speaker's/actor's formant phenomenon in their performance voice.},author={Şahin SARUHAN},year={2016},journal={The Journal of Academic Social Science}}
