Abstract

The research was conducted to determine the level of organizational image perceptions of preparatory class students who were newly admitted to Ömer Halisdemir University. Differences of perceptions according to gender, schooling type and faculty were also investigated. Organizational image perception scale was used as data gathering instrument. The scale has 7 sub factors named quality image, program image, sports image, general view and physical infrastructure image, social environment image, entertainment image and housing-dining image. Findings indicate that organizational image was perceived at a medium level. Quality image and social environment image had the highest perceptions. Entertainment image had the lowest average. While perceptions did not differ according to gender, quality image, social environment image, housing-dining image, program image, entertainment image and total scores differed due to daytime education students’ higher perceptions. Students of agricultural sciences had higher perceptions than students of engineering sciences in the sub factors of social environment image, hosing-dining image, general view and physical infrastructure image, sports image, entertainment image and in total scores.
