Abstract

Determining the employees needed by hotels depends on factors such as the size, ownership status, guest service policy and guest potential of the hotel, type and distribution of service facilities, quality of employees, form of organization, economic and social rights that will be provided for the employees. Evaluating these factors is of great benefit while creating employment policies. Finding employees consists of a process covering selecting and hiring, from which channels and how the employees will be hired, which procedures will be implemented while selecting employees. The hiring process might be defined as the sum of activities consisting of works such as preliminary studies, finding and selecting human resource and job placement. According to the study results, it is observed that employee recruitment in hotels is mostly decided by general manager or human resources manager and they are followed by department managers.
