Abstract

It is generally seen that Kierkegaard has negative and critical attitude in his thoughts about object, objectivity and objective truth. The main reason for Kierkegaard’s adopting such an attitude is that the era in which he lives regards objective truth as a measurement for everything. Kierkegaard has rejected existence’s being degraded to speculative thinking and objectivity and he maintained this attitude during his life. He always claimed that objective thinking would be inadequate to explain man’s spiritual and existential parts. Because it is not possible for subjective feelings, thoughts and experiences to be confined to de facto standards. Even though Kierkegaard goes to extremes in his claims, he does not completely ignore objective truth. He opposes the view that objective truth can explain everything.
