Abstract

The purpose of the study is to research the faculty culture according to opinions of senior students of faculty of education. The population of the research consists of senior students at faculty of education in Artvin Çoruh University. The sample included 10 students chosen using maximum variation method based on their programs. A semi-structured interview form consisting of 16 open ended questions was developed according to expert opinions and literature review and then used for data collection. Findings indicate that the proximity between teachers and students is low, in general students cannot express their opinions freely, we-feeling exists among administrators but not among students, competent students are not appreciated while competent teachers are appreciated by students, teachers do not treat students equally, and rules are set and changed considering student opinions.
