Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the habits of consumption of 382 females and 63 males totally 445 voluntary university students 17-29 years of age and influencing factors. A survey from was applied in order to determine the habits of fast-food consumption and socio demographic features of students. The data acquired as a result of the research are evaluates by taking advantage of SPSS 18.0 (Statistical Package For Social Sciences 18.0) package software. As a result of the research, it seen that the most of the students (%99,6) consume fast-food. It ise confirmed that students consume mostly twice or thrice a week and at lunch. The choice of “ for loving it” takes part in the first line as a reason for preference. As a result of statistical test made, it is found a meaningful correlation between gender (p<0,01), frequency of consumption, pecuniary resource (p<0,05), accomodation of the students (p<0,05) in the habits of fast food consumption.
