Abstract

21st century has been a period in which the acceleration of tecnological development. Non-governmental Organisations have begun to use both traditional media (television, radio, newspaper) and social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc.) to reach their target audience. NGOs acting in the social structure, affect ideas and change attitudes. Mass media provides the ability to reach a wider section of society. So mass media, NGO’s target and goals. Because NGOs’ aim to create a social reaction by creating cognitive and behavioral change in whole society. NGOs use the mass media for their campaigns to raise awareness in society. The aim of study is to find out why NGOs use Instagram.
