Abstract

While I was reading the book called "Eski Uygurca Edgü Ögli Tigin-Anyıg Ögli Tigin (İyi Niyetli Şehzade-Kötü Niyetli Şehzade) Burkancı Seyirlik Eser" which is a cooperative study of Mehmet Mahur Tulum and Kenan Azılı. Original text was written in 10.th-11.th century in Uighur Language. The book supported by images and has a fluent language to understand because of the methods used by authors. The book is about a cultural phenomena in effects of Buddhism which the traces can be seen after in Turkish Culture. The connection between the mystery of Mehmet Siyah Kalem’s miniatures and the story excited me because of my professions in Turkish and Islamic Art and history of art.
