Abstract

The present study is aimed to determine the participants’ views about the program for the development of prospective teachers’ teacher leadership skills. The working group of the research consists of 40 prospective teachers studying at Gaziantep University, Department of Turkish Education in 2014-2015 academic year. It is a case study of qualitative research methods. Semi-structured interview technique is utilized in collecting research data and the obtained data are analyzed by the content analysis method. The study provides in-depth information about the effects of a teacher leadership training program developed by the researcher on prospective teachers for higher education institutions, education faculties, academics and prospective teachers.
