Abstract

The aim of this study is to investigate whether the Turkish thought has taken its place in the attainments and the contents of 1924, 1935, 1957, 1976, 1985, 1993 and 2009 secondary education philosophy course curriculums that were applied after the declaration of Republic in Turkey. Looking from this perspective in this study, primarily an analysis of the expression ‘Turkish thought’ has been made and this expression has been tried to be clarified. Then curriculums which were implemented at the level of secondary education in our country was investigated. In the end of the investigation, it was seen that Turkish thought in the general of philosophy course curriculums was neglected or it was not included as it should be. In the consequence of obtained findings, the unit of ‘Turkish Thought’ with its attainments and content is offered as a suggestion which is related to show how Turkish thought is taken place in available 2009 curriculum.
