Abstract

The fund of knowledge that mankind has owned in the first quarter of the 21stcentury, which is the age of informatics, is more than the whole fund of knowledge owned during the mankind’s history. While the proliferation of knowledge was slower and access to information was more difficult before the age of informatics; today, via internet and informatics tools, the access to information is easier than ever before. In the information space where even adults may easily get lost, the risk is more for high school students whose personalities are in progress and are being shaped. The research is a descriptive research aiming at analyzing the relationship between the science high school students’ levels of internet addiction and social network uses and the students’ demographic features; and the impact on their academic achievements.
