Abstract

The purpose of the study is to investigate the balance performance of deaf handicapped male volleyball and handball players. In this study,20 volleyball and 20 handball players for a total of 40 deaf handicapped male athletes who do sports actively were participated voluntarily. Deaf handicapped volleyball players have 21,60 ±1,42 average age, 180,45 ± 6,00 cm average height and 62,70 ± 14,32 kg average weight. Deaf handicapped handball players have 21,75 ± 2,02 average age, 173,85 ± 10,10 cm average height and 74,60 ± 17,07 kg average weight. Average score of the FlamingoBalance Test for deaf handicapped male volleyball players are 8,00 ± 4,02 min/units and for deaf handicapped male handball players are12,00 ± 3,79 min/units . Statistically balance scores were significant in favor of volleyball players p<0.01 .A significant correlation was found between the static balance scores for deaf handicapped male volleyball and handball players p<0.01 .
