Beck Hopelessness Scale (BDS) and a personal questionnaire have been utilized in data collection. To investigate the differences between two groups Independent Sample T Test, to compare more than two groups, one-way ANOVA have been applied. To determine which group causes the obtained difference, LSD test from post hoc analysis has been applied. So as to classify students in accordance with their hopelessness levels, two-step cluster analysis was applied to their scores obtained through burnout scales. As a result of the cluster analysis, two clusters were obtained as the ones who are optimistic and the ones showing symptoms of hopelessness.
