Abstract

In this article, thirty seven arrowheads have been presented in cataloguing method which were selected from among the formed arrowheads which were uncovered in Karacahisar Castle excavations directed by Prof. Dr. Erol Altınsapan in 2011-2014. These arrowheads have been documented with their place, material, dimensions and then, they have been arranged typologically according to their forms. The aim of this study is to evaluate the arrowheads, uncovered as scattered all over the excavation area, that could be considered as the traces of the battle which took place in Karacahisar Castle-conquered in 1288 by Osman Bey and to make contributions to the samples that can be used by the researchers who have been researching on Medieval munitions.
