Abstract

Nâbî, poet of 17th century, has written two postscripts for prophetic biography of Veysî narrating the events involving introduction of pedigree of Prophet and murdering the Asmân daughter of Mervân. First postscript of Nâbî involves the events between War of Benî Kaynuka and conquest of Mekke. And his second postscript involves the events between War of Hâlid bin Velîd and demanding zakat of Velid bin Ukbe from the midwife of Benî Mustalık. The postscripts are prosaic. But Nâbî has written in his postscripts Turkish, Persian and Arabic poems also. These poems brought into consonance to postscripts. In this study, Turkish poems took part in first and second postscripts has been transcripted and intralingual translations of these poems has been written under the poems in italic style.
