Abstract

The aim of this study was to investigate primary science subjects in term of environmental attainments in Australia, Singapore, Ireland, Canada and Turkey. The data was collected with TIMSS ( Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study) scale. This scale was arranged according to the purpose of the research. Research findings showed that environmental attainments about earth science are not given in science subjects of Ireland and Singapore. Environmental attainments are given mostly about “Earth features”. But, about space subjects environmental attainments are not given enough. In biology subjects environmental attainments are given in all of the categories in Australia. However environmental attainments in Turkey are given only in “Diversity, organization, structure of living things”.
