AN INVESTIGATON ON EFFECTS OF TELEVISION COMMERCIALS ON PRIMARY SCHOOL STUDENTS’ EATING HABITS TELEVİZYON REKLAMLARININ İLKOKULÖĞRENCİLERİNİN BESLENME ALIŞKANLIKLARINA ETKİSİ ÜZERİNE BİR İNCELEME
In this study, it is aimed to investigate the relationship between eating habits of the second grade primary school students and television commercials. This study designed within the qualitative research approach and interviewing technique was used as data collection tool. The study group consists of ten second grade students who attend a primary school in city of Antalya in 2013-2014 academic year. In the study a “semi-structured interview form” which was prepared by the researchers was used in order to determine the relationship between the eating habits of primary school students and TV commercials. “Constant Comparison Method” was used in data analysis. Obtained data were examined first, and then they were classified by considering the similarities and the differences. Classified data were given codes and illustrated in tables. The tables were supported by quotes of the participated students’ expressions. At the end of the study it was seen that all the students are being affected
