The main aim of this research is to determine the effect of teaching approaches on student success through discovery. To achieve the main aim of this research, the effect of graduate students’ departmant, genders, date of the graduate on success were investigated. In research, the pretest-protest with control group, experimental design model was used. While Instruction through presentation is applied to control group, through discovery is applied to experimental group. Working group of the research consists of the students in departmant of literature and mathematics, who participated in the certificate program of Karatekin University Pedagogical Education in 2014. The study was designed to collect data consisting of multiple-choice questions 40 pretest and posttest scores.
