ANALYSES OF PHYSICS QUESTIONS IN YGS AND LYS FROM THE POINT OF CURRICULUM AND BLOOM’S TAXONOMY

Abstract

In this study, physics questions in the student selection examination for university in Turkey are called YGS and LYS explored at years between 2011 and 2013. Totally 42 YGS physics questions and 90 LYS physics questions categorized according to Bloom’s Taxonomy and these questions compared with instructional objectives in physics curriculum at high schools. For this purpose, document analysis, one of the methods of qualitative approach, was used. Classification was made by four academicians who are studying physics education in Ataturk University. The results of the study showed that asked questions are accordant with physics curriculum. And also, it has been determined that according to Bloom’s; the questions were 97% at first three periods in YGS and 72% at first three periods in LYS.
