Abstract

The Naturalistic school appeared in Russian literature in the beginning of 1840s and persisted until the 1850s. Between 1820-1830s due to A.S.Pushkin’s, M.Y.Lermontov's and in particular N.V.Gogol's useing adopting realistic methods in their works in the 1840s realism as a flow would be dominated in Russian literature. N.V.Gogol is considered as the most important representative of the naturalistic school and V.G.Belinski is thought to be the theorist of the same school. Belinksi demand from Russian litterature to have eternal love and respect for humanity and to transfer reality in a simple way and to analyse modern society in artistic way. In addition to this, in literature field there have been many changes and novelities. In Russian literature, traditional subjects are dealed with in a new manner. Many Russian writers works such as N.A.Nekrasov, İ.S.Turgeniev, İ.A.Goncharov, F.M.Dostoyevsky, V.İ.Dal, D.V.Grigorovich went around the modern Russian society’s everyday life theme. A
