Abstract
Okul öncesi eğitim 4-6 yaş çocukların psiko-motor, bilişsel, sosyal-duygusal ve dil gelişimlerini destekleyen bir eğitim dönemidir. Aynı zamanda ilköğretim için gerekli temel becerileri de kazanmalarına yardımcı olan ve bu bağlamda tasarlanmış bir eğitim programıdır. Bu eğitimin amacı çocukların ilköğretime başlamadan önce bütüncül gelişimlerini desteklemektir. Dolayısı ile okul öncesi eğitim döneminde çocukların bütüncül gelişimleri esas alınmalıdır. Çocuklar bütüncül anlamada desteklenirken aynı zamanda yaratıcı düşünme becerilerini kazanmaları da hedeflenmelidir (Bayraktar, 2019; Poyraz ve Dere Çiftçi, 2003; Yolcu, 2018). Bu araştırmanın amacı özellikle 3-6 yaş grubu çocukarın okul öncesi eğitim sürecinde kilin bir oyun materyali olarak kullanımının çocukların gelişim alanları üzerindeki etkisini incelemektir.

Abstract
Preschool education is an educational period that supports the psycho-motor, cognitive, social-emotional and language development of children aged 4-6. It is also an educational program designed in this context that helps students acquire the basic skills required for primary education. The aim of this education is to support the holistic development of children before they start primary education. Therefore, the holistic development of children should be taken as a basis during the pre-school education period. While children are supported in holistic understanding, it should also be aimed for them to acquire creative thinking skills (Bayraktar, 2019; Poyraz and Dere Çift-çi, 2003; Yolcu, 2018). The purpose of this research is to examine the effect of using clay as a play material in the preschool education process of children aged 3-6, on their developmental areas.
