Abstract
Bir turizm bölgesi, birçok özelliği ile birlikte sahip olduğu kültürel değerler sayesinde turistleri kendine çekmektedir. Söz konusu kültürel değerler, kültür turizmi kapsamında ürünleştirilip, turist çekim noktasında fayda sağlamaktadır. Bu bakımdan turizm bölgelerinin sahip oldukları kültürel varlıklar, araştırılıp, analiz edilip sürdürülebilir turizm bakış açısıyla değerlendirilmelidir. Antik kentler, tarihi yapılar ve günümüze kadar korunabilmiş değerler, kültür turizminin ana unsurları olarak dikkat çekmektedir. Türkiye söz konusu unsurlar açısından Akdeniz çanağındaki rakipleri arasında önemli bir avantaja sahiptir. Bu noktadan hareketle çalışmanın amacı, kültürel turizmde önemli bir yere sahip olan antik kentlerin, turizm bölgesi imajı perspektifinden incelenmesi olarak belirlenmiştir. Yapılan bu çalışma derleme bir araştırmadır. Bu çalışma sonucunda sürdürülebilir turizm açısından, antik kentler açısından ve kültürel turizm açısından önemli hususlara dikkat çekilmektedir.

Abstract
A destination is attracted to tourists thanks to its many characteristics and cultural values. The cultural values are produced within the scope of culture tourism and benefit from the attraction of tourists. In this respect, the cultural assets of the destinations should be explored, analyzed and viewed from a sustainable tourism perspective. Ancient cities, historical buildings and values that have been preserved until today are the main elements of cultural tourism. Turkey has an important advantage among its competitors in terms of the said elements in the Mediterranean basin. The aim of working with this point is to examine the ancient cities, which have an important place in cultural tourism, from the perspective of destination image. This work has been done in a compilation. As a result of this study, important points in terms of sustainable tourism, ancient cities and cultural tourism are pointed out.
