YETİŞKİNLER İÇİN A*** SOSYAL BECERİ ÖLÇEĞİ’NİN GELİŞTİRİLMESİ VE PSİKOMETRİK ÖZELLİKLERİNİN İNCELENMESİ

Abstract
Bu çalışmada, yetişkinlerin sosyal becerilerinin değerlendirilmesine yönelik bir ölçeğin geliştirilmesi ve temel psikometrik özelliklerinin incelenmesi işlemleri yürütülmüştür. Çalışmada ilk olarak araştırmacılar tarafından, ilgili çalışmalar doğrultusunda, sosyal beceriyi değerlendirme amacıyla 350 madde yazılmıştır. Madde havuzunun oluşturulmasının ardından iki ayrı uygulama çalışması yürütülmüştür. Birinci çalışmaya 18-69 yaşları arasında 845 kadın 365 erkek, toplam 1210 kişi katılmıştır. Bu çalışma sonrasında hedef ölçeğe madde analizi ve madde yanıt kuramı kullanılarak 80 madde seçilmiştir. İkinci çalışmada bu 80 madde 18-72 yaşları arasında 1108 kadın, 1078 erkek olmak üzere 2186 kişiye uygulanmıştır. Ölçekle birlikte, katılımcıların bir kısmına geçerlik çalışması için Coopersmith Benlik Saygısı Envanteri, Hastane Anksiyete ve Depresyon Ölçeği, Öz-Etkililik-Yeterlik Ölçeği, Empati Ölçeği, Schutte Duygusal Zeka Testi, Buss-Perry Saldırganlık Ölçeği ve Büyük Beş-50 Kişilik Testi de verilmiştir. Sonuç olarak ölçeğin iç tutarlılık katsayısı tüm grupta 0,956, kadınlarda ve erkeklerde ise 0,955 olarak tespit edilmiştir. Test-tekrar test bağıntı katsayısı 0,698 olarak hesaplanmıştır. Ölçeğin diğer ölçme araçlarıyla 0,080 ile 0,761 arasında değişen bağıntı katsayıları gösterdiği hesaplanmıştır. Çalışmada incelenen özellikler dikkate alındığında ölçeğin temel psikometrik özellikleri taşıdığı ve ilgili çalışmalarda kullanım için uygun olduğu görülmüştür.

Abstract
The aim of this study was to develop an inventory to assess social skills of adults and to investigate basic psychometric properties of the scale. Initially, researchers prepared 350 items in line with the related studies assessing social skills. Subsequently, two test administrations were done. In the first study a total of 1210 people, between the ages of 18 and 69 years, 845 women and 365 men participated. Through this study 80 items were selected for the target test using item analysis and item response theory. In the second study 80 items were administered to a total of 2186 people, 1108 women and1078 men, age range was between 18 to 72. Some of the participants received the Coopersmith Self-Esteem Inventory, the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale, the General Self-efficacy Scale, the Empathy Quotient, the Schutte Self Report Emotional Intelligence Test, the Buss-Perry Aggression Questionnaire, the Big-Five Personality Questionnaire along with the scale for the validity study. The results showed that internal consistency coefficient of the scale was 0.956 for the whole group, 0.955 for both men and women. Test re-test correlation coefficient was 0.698. Correlation coefficients between the scale and a aforementioned instruments ranged from 0.080 to 0.761. The results revealed that the scale included basic psychometric characteristics and was suitable for use in related studies.
