Abstract
Borsa İstanbul’a kote olan şirketlerin 2009-2016 yılları arasındaki teknik etkinlik değerlerinin incelendiği bu çalışmada, şirketlerin Borsa İstanbul Kurumsal Yönetim Endeksi’ne dahil olup olmamalarının teknik etkinlik dereceleri üzerindeki etkisini tespit etmek amaçlanmıştır. Teknik etkinliğin ölçümünde parametrik olmayan doğrusal programlama metotlarından biri olan veri zarflama analizi kullanılmıştır. Öncelikle her yıl için toplam etkinlik değerlerinin hesaplandığı ve zaman boyutunda karşılaştırma yapmak için Malmquist Endeksi’nin de ölçüldüğü çalışma sonucunda, kurumsal yönetim ilkelerini uygulayarak Borsa İstanbul Kurumsal Yönetim Endeksi’ne dahil olan şirketlerde teknik etkinliğin daha yüksek olduğu tespit edilmiştir.

Abstract
This study examines the technical efficiency values of the firms listed on the Borsa Istanbul in 2009-2016 and aims to determine the effect of the firms on the technical efficiency points of whether or not they are included on the Borsa Istanbul Corporate Governance Index. Data envelopment analysis, one of the nonparametric linear programming methods, has been used to measure the technical efficiency. In this study, the total efficiency values for each year were firstly calculated and the Malmquist Index was measured for comparison in the time dimension, as a result, it has been determined that the technical efficiency of the firms applied corporate governance principles and included on the Borsa Istanbul Corporate Governance Index is higher.
