Abstract
Bu çalışma, kültürel miras alanlarından birisi olan Kayaköy’e gelen turistlerin, bölge hakkındaki algı ve değerlendirmelerinin belirlenmesine yönelik bir araştırmadır. Bu kapsamda Kayaköy’e gelen turistlerin (yerli ve yabancı) değerlendirmeleri konu edilmektedir. Çalışmanın diğer bir özelliği ise, ülkemizde turizm alanında Kayaköy hakkında yapılan ilk çalışma olmasıdır. Bu çalışma ile ulusal ve uluslararası kültürel miras kapsamında Fethiye destinasyonunda yer alan Kayaköy’ün turistler nazarındaki mevcut durumunu tespit etmek ve Kayaköy’ün sahip olduğu kültürel mirasın korunması ve geliştirilmesine yönelik önerilerde bulunulması hedeflenmektedir. Son zamanlarda turistler deniz, kum ve güneş turizminden daha farklı turistik ürün taleplerine yönelmektedirler. Bu çalışmada genel olarak kültürel mirasın tanımı, önemi, korunması ve kültürel mirasın etki boyutları, Kayaköy’ün tarihsel süreci ve özellikleri üzerinde durulacaktır. Çalışmanın sonucunda ise bilimsel katkılarının yanı sıra Kayaköy hakkında bir takım öneriler sunulacaktır.

Abstract
This study is a research to determine the perceptions and evaluations of tourists coming to Kayaköy, one of the cultural heritage sites. Within this scope, the evaluations of tourists (domestic and foreign)coming to Kayaköy are subjected. Another feature of the study is the fact that it is the first work on Kayaköy in the field of tourism in our country. In this study, it is aimed to determine the current situation of Kayaköy in the destination of Fethiye within the scope of national and international cultural heritage in terms of tourists, additionally it is aimed to make proposals forth epreservation and development of kayaköy's cultural heritage. In recent years, tourists are turning to touristic product requests that are different from those of sea, sand and sun tourism.In this study, the definition of cultural heritage in general, the importance of preservation and cultural heritage and the historical process and characteristics of Kayaköy will be emphasized. As a result of the work, a number of suggestions about Kayaköy will be presented along with scientific contributions.
