Abstract
Bu araştırmada, mezun olmuş ancak henüz öğretmenlik mesleğine başlamamış olan öğretmen adaylarının maarif müfettişlerine ilişkin algılarının, metaforlar aracılığıyla ortaya çıkarılması amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini Batman il merkezinde öğretmen olarak atanmak amacıyla sınava (KPSS) hazırlık eğitimi veren farklı eğitim kurumlarına devam eden 65 öğretmen adayı oluşturmaktadır. Öğretmen adaylarına “Müfettiş …….. gibidir. Çünkü ……..” sorusu sorulmuştur. Katılımcılardan cümleyi tamamlayarak maarif müfettişlerine ilişkin metafor üretmeleri istenmiştir. Anket sorularında yer alan veriler içerik analizi tekniğiyle çözümlenmiştir. Elde edilen verilerin nitel analizinden öğretmen adaylarının maarif müfettişlerine yönelik metaforlarda ağırlıklı olarak olumsuz benzetmelere başvurdukları görülmüştür. Dolayısıyla öğretmen adaylarının henüz mesleğe başlamadan maarif müfettişlerine karşı olumsuz bir algıya sahip olduklarını ifade etmek mümkündür.

Abstract
This research aims to reveal the supervisor perceptions of teacher candidates who have graduated but have not yet started teaching profession by means of metaphors. The sample of the research consists of 65 teacher candidates in the center of Batman province who attend different educational institutions which provide training in preparation for the test (KPSS) to be assigned as a teacher. The question "A supervisor is like …….. . Because ......... ." was asked to teacher candidates. Participants were asked to complete the sentence and produce metaphors for the instructional supervisors. The data contained in the questionnaire were resolved by content analysis technique. From the qualitative analysis of the data obtained, it has been seen that the teacher candidates are predominantly resorting to negative metaphors for the instructional supervisors Therefore it can be said that the teacher candidates have a negative perception on instructional supervisors before they start their career.
