ÜNİVERSİTELERDE ÖĞRENİM GÖREN ÖĞRENCİLERİN MUHASEBE EĞİTİMİ HAKKINDAKİ GÖRÜŞLERİ ÜZERİNE BİR ARAŞTIRMA

Abstract
Üniversitelerde muhasebe eğitimi, ön lisans ve lisans programlarında sunulmaktadır. Özellikle lisans programlarında İktisadi ve İdari Bilimler fakülteleri ile ön lisans programlarında muhasebe ve vergi bölümlerinde ağırlıklı olarak muhasebe dersleri işlenmektedir. Bu bölümlerin temel amacı analitik düşünebilen, temel bilgi ve yeteneklere sahip kalifiye meslek elemanı yetiştirmek ve böylece işverenlerin ara eleman ihtiyaçlarını karşılamaktır. Bu amaçla 2015-2016 bahar yarıyılında eğitim gören 1.058 öğrenci üzerinde anket çalışması yapılmıştır. Çalışma neticesinde, muhasebe eğitiminde ders materyallerinin az olması, teorik derslerin yetersizliği ve uygulama dersleri için fiziksel ortam şartlarının uygun olmadığı görüşleri tespit edilmiştir. Öğrenciler bu etkenlerden dolayı eğitimleri sonrasında mesleki yeterlilikleri yerine getiremeyeceklerini belirtmişlerdir. Ancak öğrencilerin muhasebe mesleği hakkındaki görüşlerini ele aldığımızda ise çoğunluk güncel, tercih edilen ve kariyer grubu bir meslek olduğu görüşüne sahiptirler.

Abstract
There are a variety of 2-year vocational colleges and 4-year undergraduate universities that offer accounting education. Especially, accounting lessons are mainly studied in faculty of economics and administrative sciences of undergraduate universities and in accounting and tax departments of vocational colleges. The main purpose of these departments is to prepare well-qualified accountants who are good at analytical thinking, basic knowledge and skills and that meet employer demand for intermediate staff. For this purpose, a survey was conducted among 1.058 students in the spring semester of 2015-2016.As a result of the study, it was determined that the lesson materials in accounting education are inadequate, the theoretical lessons are not sufficient and the physical environment conditions are not suitable for the practical exercises. Therefore, the students indicate that they would not be able to fulfil the job requirements after their education. However, if the opinions and view of students about the profession are considered, the majority think that being an accountant is a current, preferred and suitable for future career.
