Abstract
Değişen dünya düzenine ayak uydurma sürecinde Tanzimat romancısı, bir yandan evreni akılla okumaya gayret ederken diğer yandan Aydınlanma düşüncesinin seküler yaklaşımının uyandırdığı olumsuz etkilerden kendini koruyabilmek maksadıyla kuşkucu (septik) bir dünya görüşü geliştirir. Batının gerisine düşme düşüncesi ve özsever eğilimlerin yaralanması, Tanzimat romancısını kurgusal düzlemde alternatif bir “steril (arınık) toplum” yaratmaya sevk eder ve romancı, bu simülatif steril toplumu da nesnel değer yargılarına göre değil özsever eğilimlerine bağlı –göreceli- olarak kurgusal bir ahlâk öngörüsüyle arındırır, olabildiğine anlamlandırır. Ancak bu arındırma ve anlamlandırma işi, gerek toplumsal gerekse kurgusal olarak birçok problemi de beraberinde getirir. Steril toplum düşü ile hareket eden Tanzimat romancısı sanata da ihanet eder. Öncelikli olarak yaşamı kontrol altına almaya ve bu şekilde toplumu yönlendirmeye çalışarak yeni bir ahlâki değer üretmeye çalışan yazarlar, insanı ve olanaklarını atlamışlardır. Romanlarda kötülük etkin güç olarak varlığını ortaya koyarken iyilik, içi boş, basit bir kavrama dönüşmüştür.

In the process of adapting to hte changing world order Tanzimat novelist, on the one hand he try to read with mind the universe on the other hand he develops a skeptical worldview to protect himself from negative impact of the Enlightenment ideas of secular approach. The thought of falling behind the West and injury of narsistic trend an alternative in the fictional plane “sterile society” that encourages Tanzimat novelist to create. And novelist sterilizes this simulative sterile society depending on the relative narsistic trend, as much as possible makes sense. But this decontamination and meaning job as fictional social need brings many problems. The Tanzimat novelist betrays to to art with the dream of a sterile society. As a priority authors that working to take control of life and community orientation put people and possibilities. While evil put effective power in existence, goodness, hollow, it has turned a simple concept. Against long odds the wicked stand out as vivid types well are as grandiloquent ideals are reduced to a single dimension.
