Abstract
Bilim ve teknolojide yaşanan hızlı gelişmeler, mesleki ve teknik alanda nitelikli işgücü istihdamını zorunlu kılmaktadır. İş dünyasının nitelikli işgücü ihtiyacını karşılamak amacıyla kurulan meslek yüksekokulları; önlisans düzeyinde eğitim veren yükseköğretim kurumlarıdır. Her ne kadar meslek yüksekokulları iş dünyasının ara eleman ihtiyaçlarını karşılayan kurumlar olsa da az gelişmiş ya da gelişmekte olan ülkelerde kamu kurumlarında çalışmak, garanti iş ve sosyal statü kaynağı olarak görüldüğünden meslek yüksekokulu mezunları da kamuda çalışmayı öncelik olarak görmektedir. Araştırmanın amacı; meslek yüksekokullarından mezun olan öğrencilerin mezun oldukları program bazında kamuda istihdam durumlarını belirleyerek analiz etmektir. Bu amaçla 2015 yılı içerisinde kamuda istihdam edilen önlisans mezunu kişilerin mezun oldukları programlar ile ilgili bilgiler Devlet Personel Başkanlığı ve Ölçme, Seçme ve Yerleştirme Merkezi’nden (ÖSYM) alınmış ve betimsel analiz yöntemiyle incelenmiştir.

Rapid improvements encountered in the field of science and technology necessitate the skilled labour in vocational and technical field. Vocational schools founded with the purpose of meeting a need of skilled labour for business world are higher education institutions which provide training program to students at a level of two-year degree. Vocational school alumnae and alumni’s priority is to work in the public enterprises in less developed or developing countries due to the fact that working in the public enterprises is thought as warranty work and an indicator of social status although vocational schools are institutions which meet needs of intermediate staff.
