Abstract
Dil, toplum hayatında insanların anlaşmasını ve birbirleri ile yakınlaşmasını sağlayan en önemli iletişim aracı olarak bilinmektedir. Bu nedenle, hem dünyada hem de ülkemizde, yabancı dil öğrenmenin ve öğretmenin kaçınılmaz olduğu yadsınamaz bir gerçektir. Buradan hareketle Sanayi kenti Gaziantep’te Özel Okullara devam etmekte olan ortaokul ve lise öğrencilerinin Alman dilini öğrenme tutumlarının farklı değişkenlere göre analizi konusu üzerinde çalışmak istememin en önemli nedeni sanayi ve ticaretteki öne çıkan rolüyle tanınan Gaziantep şehrinde özel okullarda öğrencilerin Almancayı ders olarak öğrenme motivasyonlarının ve tutumlarının cinsiyet, sınıf düzeyi, anne ve babanın eğitim durumları, anne ve babanın mesleği gibi farklı değişkenlerin o dili tercih etmesinde ve öğrenmesinde önemli ölçüde bir etkiye sahip olup olmadığını ortaya çıkarma ve bu okullarda çalışan Almanca öğretmenlerinin de bu konudaki görüşlerini öğrenme isteğimdir. Abstract
Language is known as the most important communication tool allowing people to deal and get closer to each other in the community life. Therefore, both in the world and in our country, the inevitability of learning and teaching a foreign language is an undeniable fact. From this point, the purpose of this study was to analyze the attitudes of middle and high school students at private schools in Gaziantep, known as an industrial city in Turkey, towards German language learning according to different variables. The most important reason why I wanted to work on this topic was to reveal whether different variables such as gender, class level, parents’ educational status and parents’ profession have a significant impact on middle and high school students’ motivation and attitudes in choosing and learning German as a course.
