Abstract
İçinde bulunduğumuz yeni yüzyıl ulusal ve uluslararası toplumda, yasadığımız doğal çevrenin korunması konusundaki yüksek hassasiyetleri de beraberinde getirmektedir. Geçmişte işletmelerin girişimcilik kararlarında doğal çevresel faktörleri göz önüne almamaları, günümüzde uygulamada olan pek çok standart ve yasal mevzuatın oluşturulmasını zorunlu hale getirmiştir. Giderek artan çevresel duyarlılık, çevresel değerleri koruyarak ve geliştirerek üretilen mal ve hizmetlere karşı olan talepteki artış, çevresel standartlara uygun üretilen mal ve hizmetlerin kalite kadar önemli bir rekabet unsuru olmasına neden olmuştur. Bu gerekçeler, günümüzde farklı sektörlerde faaliyet gösteren pek çok işletmeyi çevre politikalarını geliştirme ve uygulamaya yöneltmiştir.
