MESLEK YÜKSEKOKULU ÖĞRENCİLERİNİN UMUTSUZLUK DÜZEYLERİNİN BECK UMUTSUZLUK ÖLÇEĞİYLE BELİRLENMESİ ÜZERİNE BİR ARAŞTIRMA

Abstract
Bu araştırmada Akdeniz Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Meslek Yüksekokulu öğrencilerinin umutsuzluk düzeyleri belirlenmiş, bazı demografik değişkenlerin umutsuzluk düzeylerini etkileyip etkilemediği test edilmiştir. Araştırmaya 376 öğrenci katılmıştır. Verilerin toplanmasında Beck Umutsuzluk Ölçeği (BUÖ) ve kişisel anket formu kullanılmıştır. İki grup arasındaki farkları incelemek için T testi (Independent Samples T Test), ikiden fazla grubu karşılaştırmak için varyans analizi (one-way ANOVA) uygulanmıştır. Elde edilen farklılığın hangi grup veya gruptan kaynaklandığını belirlemek için post hoc analizinden LSD testi uygulanmıştır. Öğrencileri umutsuzluk düzeylerine göre sınıflandırmak için kümeleme analizi (two-step cluster) uygulanmıştır. Kümeleme analizi sonucunda iyimserler ve umutsuzluk belirtisi gösterenler olarak iki küme elde edilmiştir. Abstract
In this research, it has been investigated the hopelessness levels of students who study at Akdeniz University Vocational School of Social Sciences and whether some demographic variables affect the hopelessness levels of students. 376 students have participated in the research. Beck Hopelessness Scale (BDS) and a personal questionnaire have been utilized in data collection. To investigate the differences between two groups Independent Sample T Test, to compare more than two groups, one-way ANOVA have been applied. To determine which group causes the obtained difference, LSD test from post hoc analysis has been applied. So as to classify students in accordance with their hopelessness levels, two-step cluster analysis was applied to their scores obtained through burnout scales. As a result of the cluster analysis, two clusters were obtained as the ones who are optimistic and the ones showing symptoms of hopelessness.
