Abstract
Hasta güvenliği kültürünün geliştirilmesi hastalara hizmet veren kurumların başarısında önemli bir yer tutmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı Akdeniz Üniversitesi Hastanesinde çalışan hemşirelerin güvenlik kültürü algılama düzeyini belirlemektir. Veri toplamada, AHRQ tarafından 2004 yılında geliştirilen “Hospital Survey on Patient Safety Culture” anketi kullanıldı. Veriler SPSS 15.0 proğramında giriş yapıldı. Ankete katılanların ortalama çalışma yılı 10 (%14), eğitim düzeyinin lisans (%80) olduğu belirlenmiştir. Verilerin %27,4’ü yönetimin hasta güvenliği için uygun atmosfer sağladığı, %44,6’sının hasta güvenliğinin kabul edilebilir saydığı, %44,7’si prosedürlerin hata oranını düşürdüğünü, %55,8’i daha çok iş yapmaktansa hasta güvenliğini ön planda tuttuğu belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca hasta güvenliği geliştirme çalışmalarına aktif katıldıklarını (%54,5), acil yapılması gereken iş olduğunda ekip çalışması yapıldığını (%55,1), bu verilere rağmen personel eksikliğinin olduğunu (%42,3) ve bu durumu

Abstract
Development of the patient safety culture has an important place in the success of institutions providing service for patients. The purpose of this study is to determine the perception levels of nurses working at Akdeniz University Hospital regarding the safety culture. Being developed by AHRQ in 2004, the “Hospital Survey on Patient Safety Culture” was used to collect the data. The data were entered in the SPSS 15.0 program. It was determined that the participants had an average working year of 10 (14%) years and undergraduate education (80%). According to 27.4% of the data, the management provided an appropriate atmosphere for patient safety, and 44.6% considered the patient safety acceptable, 44.7% thought that procedures decreased the error rate and 55.8% prioritized the patient safety rather than doing a greater amount of work.
