Abstract
Estetik üzerine konuşulduğunda ya da sanat tarihine şöyle bir bakıldığında estetiğin pek çok yorumunun olduğu görülmekte ve bu konuda epey zihin jimnastiklerinin yapıldığı anlaşılmaktadır. Süreç içinde bakıldığında estetik hakkında güzel, faydalı ve hoş şeklinde değerlendirmeler olmuştur. Bugün de estetiğin anlamı üzerine yazılan yorumlar ve makaleler devam etmektedir. Çünkü estetik zevki bir boyuttur ve kendisini anlamak isteyene açar. Estetik boyutun esere dönüşmesi, zengin tahayyülleri barındırır. Bununla birlikte, diğer toplumlara göre bizim toplumumuzdaki estetik anlayış da değişik bakış açıları gösterebilmektedir. Bu yazı estetiğin sanat alanında geçmişten yola çıkarak nelerden beslendiğini ve dinamiklerinin neler olduğunu bulma gayreti içindedir. Aynı zamanda sadece estetik üzerine sorular sormakla kalmaz, estetik anlayışın kültürden kültüre değişebilmesi üzerine bir bakış ortaya koyar.

Abstract
When we look at art history or speak about aesthetics, at a glance it is understood that there are lots of interpretations of the aesthetics and intensive mental gymnastics have been done on this issue. When looked at in the process, there have been evaluations of aesthetic such as pretty, helpful and pleasant. Comments and articles on aesthetics still continue today. Because aesthetic pleasure is a dimension and open itself to the one who want to understand it. Transformation of aesthettic dimension to work holds wealth of imagination. Beside this, more different perspectives on aesthetics can be seen in our society than other societies. This article, based on past, endeavors to find the things that aesthetic is fed from the past and what dynamics it has. At the same time not only asking questions on aesthetics but also it reveals a view on that aesthetics may differ from culture to culture.
