Abstract
Dünya’da ve Türkiye’de kadınların toplumsal ve ekonomik hayata katılımlarının az olduğu bilinen bir gerçektir. Bu alanda yapılmış çalışmalar, özellikle 1970’lerden sonra toplumsal cinsiyet kavramına yönelmiş ve cinsiyetler arasındaki eşitliği tanımlarken, sosyal, siyasal, ekonomik ve kültürel hak ve fırsatlara erişimde eşitlikten bahsetmişlerdir. Bu çalışmada toplumsal cinsiyet kavramı çalışma hayatı verileri çerçevesinde ele alınarak, Türkiye’de turizm sektöründe kadın emeğinin konumu incelenmiştir.

Abstract
In the world and Turkey is a known fact that participates to women's social and economic life less. Studies conducted in this area, especially after the 1970s turned to the concept of gender and talked about equality in access to social, political, economic, cultural rights and opportunities while you are defining the equality between the sexes. In this study, by taking the concept of gender within the framework of the working life data, the position of women laborforce in the tourism sector in Turkey was investigated.
