Abstract

Economic blockade, as a tool of coercive foreign policy, have been very popular since a long time ago. Blockade supposed to impose economic hardship on the country and make the government change its policies. However, there is now strong evidence that these sanctions cause severe civilian hardship and profound social and economic problems and they may cause human rights violations. For more than 19 years, Israel imposing economic, commercial, and financial Blockade against Gaza Strip. The severity and the scope of the blockade have varied, depending on political developments in Gaza Strip. This paper reviews the impact of Economic blockade on health, health services and food security based on data available from Gaza Strip. Finding shows that Economic blockade had negative and destructive effects on the health of Palestinian people and Violation of international law and human rights.
