These elements have spread to the daily life, art and literature of the nation to which they belong. It is possible to come across many of these elements when we examine fantastic Turkish comics and Turkish cinema. In this study, the common features of Turkish epics and mythological elements frequently mentioned in these epics are discussed and Tarkan, which is very popular both in comics and cinema films is examined. These works; fed from rich Turkish history, has given Turkey often place many of the mythological elements, have deeply affected many people in Turkey, Turkish mythology and thus played a major role in the promotion and popularization of Turkish culture. It can be argued that these works have many mythological and iconographic elements in Turkish history. The aim of the study is to determine the Turkish culture and mythological elements in these works, to transfer the Turkish culture to new generations and to direct the interest in popular works prepared with western culture to these works that reflect our culture and even contribute to it, and to draw attention to the importance of Turkish comics in raising individuals who possess national values.},author={Mehmet ÖZKARTAL-Sevtap SARICA},year={2020},journal={The Journal of Academic Social Science}}
