Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine teachers' opinions about the competencies of administrators in educational institutions. The sample of the research in the survey model consists of 112 teachers working in Bursa city center. The data of the study was collected with the Yönetic Competence Inventory of School Administrators ”. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test and ANOVA. According to the findings, teachers in all dimensions consider school administrators sufficient. Teachers' opinions do not differ according to variables such as school type, seniority, branch, and previous management. However, it differs according to the status of being a member of the same union with its manager. Teachers who are members of the same union as their administrators see school administrators as more adequate.
