THE EFFECT OF USING THE MAP CONCEPT STRATEGY ON THE PHYSICAL CONCEPTS ACQUISITION AMONG THE THIRD YEAR MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS

Abstract

The objective of this study is to find out the effect of using the concept map strategy on the acquisition of physical concepts among the third year middle school students of the Education Directorate in Skikda, Algeria. To achieve this goal, the experimental method was applied to a sample of students (3m1-3m2) during the 2018-2019 academic year. Section 3M was chosen to represent the experimental group studied in a conceptual mapping method. Section 3M represents the control group studied in the normal manner. At the end of the study all subjects were tested Esela. After the statistical processing of the data using statistical averages, standard deviations, and Test at the significance level (α=0.05), by SPSS, the study has concluded that: - There were statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α=0.05) between the average achievement of students (male - female) who use the map concept and the average scores of their peers also who study in usual way the benefits of the experimental group. - There were no statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α=0.05) between the average score of students who use the map concept strategy and the average scores of students who study in the same way.
