Abstract

The aim of this research is to draw the general framework of the graduate theses for the critical thinking tendencies of the prospective teachers and to classify them in a methodological way. Based on the theses constituting the research sample, datawew collected about critical thinking, critical thinking tendencies and scales. The sample of the study consisted of 20 theses which consisted of 19 master’s and 1 doctoral dissertation between the years 2007-2018 within the scope of “teacher candidates’ critical thinking tendencies”. The data of the study was collected by document review. The collected data were analyzed by category and frequency analysis which is one of the content analysis techniques. The research sample was composed of master’s and doctoral theses: years, institutes, consultants’ titles, research approach, sampling methods, data callection tools, data analysis methods, validity methods and reliability methods were analyzed by analyzing, giving information about the result of the research and commenting on the results.
