In general, the writers and poets of the period express the thoughts by prose, and the emotions by verse. Namık Kemal associates the sense of emotion and the prose with thought. Abdülhak Hamid, who had the same opinion, stated that the description of nature was made more beautiful by prose; He says that ordinary thoughts are for prose, supreme feelings are for the expression of verse. Ahmet Mithat Efendi, the most beautiful of the word is said to say the verse, but the poetry of the period of truth and wisdom is lacking in prose, aesthetics, aesthetically, the perspective looks. Muallim Naci agrees with Ahmet Mithat's idea that he liked the prose more, but the verse was more influential.
