Outside of classical pottery understanding, the works emerging in contemporary ceramic art form a new language of expression today In this sense, the study is a qualitative field research where interview method is applied to determine the contribution of glass and metal materials to ceramic art, and the purposes of ceramic artists in using or not using different materials. Three different semi-structured interview forms were developed for the aim of the study. In the analysis of the data, descriptive and content analysis methods were used. The data obtained after the application were transformed into a theme list and encoded. As a result of the study, the data obtained from interviews show that it is aimed to give a new perspective to ceramic by the artists using different materials, to reveal works in the interdisciplinary approach, produce works apart from the classical conception.},author={Didar Ezgi ÖZDAĞ-- Nevriye YAZÇAYIR - Olcay BORATAV},year={2019},journal={The Journal of Academic Social Science}}
