Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine the relationship between Workaholism and Cyberloafing Behaviors based on the teachers’ views. The sample of the study included 350 teachers who were determined by simple coincidental sampling method during 2016-2017 academic year in Kahramanmaras, Dulkadiroğlu district. The research is a quantitative and descriptive research. In the research, the survey technique was used as a data collection tool. According to the findings of the research, it was determined that there is a significant relationship between the teachers' workaholism scores and gender variable, and also a significant relationship between the teachers' Cyberloafing Behaviors scores and the seniority variable. In addition, there was a low positive correlation between the Cyberloafing Behaviors, Workaholism and the subscale of Enjoyment of Work based on the correlation analysis. It has been determined that teachers' access to the internet from personal mobile phones or the computer of the institution during working hours has increased the level of enjoyment from the work. This may mean that Cyberloafing is not a completely negative concept.
