Abstract

This study aims to examine the levels of relational resilience, marital self-efficacy and trust in dyadic relationships according to a certain demographic. A total of 531 married individuals, took part in the research. As a result of the research, married individuals significantly differ in their mean rankings of trust in dyadic relationships according to gender. The mean ranking of trust in dyadic relationships among women was found to be significantly higher than the mean ranking of men. The mean ranking of trust in dyadic relationships scores of married individuals were also found to significantly differ according to education level. The mean ranking of trust in dyadic relationships was found to be the highest for individuals with university-level education. Furthermore, the mean ranking of marital self-efficacy scores of married individuals was found to significantly differ according to the number of their children. The mean ranking of marital self-efficacy scores of participants with no children was found to be the highest. Results of the study showed that the relational resilience and marital self-efficacy scores of married individuals did not significantly differ. Relational resilience, marital self-efficacy, and trust in dyadic relationships scores of married individuals were found not to significantly differ according to age, their marriage duration, the form of marriage, occupation, their education levels, and their income levels. Similarly, no significant difference was observed among married individuals for relational resilience and trust in dyadic relationships according to the number of children they have. In addition, this research is part of the Ph.D. thesis at Yıldız Technical University and accepted by the TUBITAK-3001 project.
