Abstract

The purpose of this study was the methodological and descriptive analysis of the studies published between 2012-2017 about educating Syrian students in primary and middle schools in Turkey. The examination of studies about educating asylum-seekers will provide a general overview as well as pedagogical approach and policy development for enhancing the quality of education for asylum-seekers. The data of this systematic review consisted of 13 scholarly articles chosen from databases according to inclusion and exclusion principles. The abstracts and methodology parts of the found articles were read and decided to be included or excluded by the selection criteria that are based on search engines, keywords, publication date, study group/sample (students, teachers, administrators), and the context (primary and middle schools). The data were analyzed by descriptive analysis. The studies were described and suggestions were provided for the future studies.
